On the recommendation of PCWorld magazine, I downloaded Secunia Personal Software Inspector. It's job is to look for insecure software on my system and recommend updates and patches. It does the job, catching two such needs on my computer and also helping me find fixes quickly. Very painless and easy to use.

Interesting! We swithed from McAffe back to Norton. Norton found all sorts of stuff that the other one had missed.
